The cemetery where the Cawthon families are buried is next to this church in Midway, Richland Parish, Louisiana. I am wondering if they still hold Sunday services there, and if they might have any records. When I was there, the doors were locked, but it was in the middle of the week. If anyone out there knows anything about this church, I'd appreciate the info.

Terry--While you were at the West Carroll Parish courthouse, where did you look to find the records? Is there a particular office in the courthouse that houses the records? I am searching for my great grandfather who died in West Carroll Parish around 1900, but I'm not sure how to inquire about that at the courthouse there. Thanks for any advice you can give me about looking there!

Hello Terry,
I have enjoyed your blog. I do East Carroll Parish research. I already have a website but the person who has done it for me is no longer going to be able to.. so I am inquiring as how to go about doing a blog set up similar to yours concerning the Lake Providence area. My URL is http://eastcarrollgenealogy.com/index.html, you will see I have lots of stuff, and have tons more... is this a problem with a blog? Thanks, Sandy morechev@ipa.net
P.S. Do you have any headstone pics or your E.C. ancestors?

Who are these people?

Sally Jo Gibson sent me this picture of the "Old Floyd" Courthouse, but didn't know who the people were. If anyone knows who they are, please let the rest of us know. Just post a reply.
